Deleted dead journals, journals that have been idle for several years, journals of people I don't know and haven't made friends with, and some communities I don't have time for anymore. Doesn't mean I don't still have the interests, just that my LJ is getting too cluttered. No hard feelings at all. :V Questions/comments/concerns/dicks feel free to post here.

Journals:
damnedkitten, chivaleatsfuck, crackerscat, demonchild17, jehansandhu, michael_Raccoon, ryami, saintmachina, shiboshoujo, sizzy_bubbles, sol_eks, thejadeddragon, thatguyrichie, uglylemurgirl

Communities:
astrono_furs, art_dragon, dyehards, download_me, fruits, furryfems, furspirit, fursuit, fursuitauctions, futurama, girl_gamers, good_eats, lower_gage, macfurs, retail_is_hell, tcr_images, tekkoshocon, the_dragons, totem_animals

purple robot needs food badly -- commissions open

Since I'm almost done with my current queue and the couple art trades I'm working on, I've decided to open up for badge and icon commissions again for a while. There's no set amount of slots, and they will be done for AnthroCon.

You have two options for badges:

$10 - small badge
>>> these are done on a plain 3"x5" rectangular cardstock, with simple die-cutting and basic colors, in india ink and marker with acrylic highlights. They come with a badge clip and are laminated under 10mil heatseal plastic. They can be oriented horizontally or vertically, depending on your choice. I typically finish one of these within a day.

$20 - large badge
>>> these are done on various sizes of cardstock, cut out in various styles depending on the art. They typically do not exceed 5" in any direction, and are usually oriented vertically. Each one is uniquely shaped and is specially die-cut in the majority of the white space of the image, to create a neat silhouette effect. These are what you have seen me upload in the past, for the most part. They are drawn with a mixture of india ink, marker, watercolor, acrylic, or other junk I have laying around, and come with your choice of badge clip or lanyard strap. They are also laminated under at LEAST 10mil heatseal plastic, but if available, I will use a thicker, higher quality plastic (up to 18mil usually). This creates a nice "credit card" sort of feel, almost. They are a LOT more durable than your standard conbadge. I typically finish one of these within two or three days.

$5 - digital icon ('sloppy style', see gallery)
>>> these are the type of icons I offered a couple months ago. They have a 24-hour turnaround (or close to it). You get a large version PNG (500x500 or larger) and a small version GIF. Animation is possible, but may cost extra if it is complicated.

$7 - sketch (one character)
>>> I don't like selling sketches, but I can't afford to do them for free right now. Just give me a reference and I'll draw it. Ballpoint pen or pencil on your choice of textured or white paper, with some basic shading and usually one pale grey marker to give a little depth.

All of these prices are around 50% off from what I usually charge at conventions and such. I won't be able to take commissions at AnthroCon, so I'm offering this here and now for cheaper. I am really, REALLY broke and I'm asking for your help. My paychecks from my day job are gone the instant I get them because I'm trying to be responsible and get out of debt. I need extra cash for food and toiletries, as well as to ensure that I can make it to AC (assuming I can pay the other things off first).

So.. help a robot out? Send me a note or email me at either technoooo@gmail.com or techno@robocoon.net (preferably CC'd to both) if you're interested.

xposted over from FA. I am really desperate. If you don't want to buy, could you pimp me to your rich friends?

the future of Techno / Kay Fedawa

Abruptly written because I'm upset. Sorry.

EDIT-- I NEVER SAID SHE WAS RIPPING ME OFF. I DON'T THINK SHE IS. I KNOW THAT THIS CHARACTER WAS NOT INSPIRED BY TECHNO. READ MY LETTERS TO HER, FOR GOD'S SAKE, I SAID IT FOUR OR FIVE TIMES THAT I DON'T THINK SHE STOLE !!!ANYTHING!!! AND THAT I KNOW SHE MADE IT UP HERSELF. RELAX. --EDIT

This has been a point of hot debate and much discussion among my RL friends for the past couple of months. I've finally reached a descision...

Now that there is a new neon fuchsia and white with black stripes furry spreading themselves around the internet, I feel that it is time to relinquish my name as the character I've been playing since 2000: Techno. Obviously Techno's presence as an interesting, unique character was less significant than I thought, as there is now a character almost identical to her tryping to make a name for itself in the fandom, known as "Kiki", created by the infamous Swiftkill/Kay Fedawa. In light of the confusion and upset regarding this character's similarities to my long-standing personal avatar, and Swiftkill's resistance to make any significant change, I am dropping use of my "fursona" Techno Procyon until further notice.

As of now I will be going by a generic version of my standard username (which, although inspired by Techno, does not neccessarily refer to her) -- Robocoon. Henceforth I will only be known by this name, because I get far too upset seeing Techno and knowing that there is another character indistinguishable from her.

My other alternate secondary characters still exist (except Sigmund, as he is retired alongside Techno since they are a pair) and may be used in place of a "fursona", now, since I lack one that is defined as well as Techno was. Just as a refresher, those characters that can be used as an avatar in lieu of Techno are Profett, the jackalraptor cyborg, Pocoa, the collie+common dolphin slavebot, and my non-fursonas/pokemon comic characters Tindalos the houndoom and Quetzcoatl the xatu.

For further reading regarding why this happened, please see the following page: http://robocoon.net/tech/kiki.html

no, it's not a late april fools. Sorry folks.

After more months of minute tweaks to my character and talking with Kay, we've pretty much come to terms with each other. If anything else comes up regarding this character, I'll make a note of it, but as of now, she and I are on "pleasant speaking" terms and are going to be able to mutually coexist.

I left this post public just for history reasons. It will probably eventually get friends-locked with the rest of my posts.
